Olettehan meihin yhteydessä sähköpostitse (kotkansay@kymp.net) tai puhelimitse (+358469212360), kun suunnittelette lapsenne hoidon aloitusta. Mitä aiemmin, sen parempi, sillä hakijoita on paljon, ja varmistatte paikkanne varmemmin olemalla suoraan meihin yhteydessä.

Ilmoitathan meille lapsesi nimen, syntymäpäivän, toivomanne tuntimäärän (arvio riittää) ja vanhemman yhteystiedot. Kun alamme muodostaa ryhmiä, olemme teihin yhteydessä. Muodostamme ryhmät koko vuodeksi kerrallaan.

 

Ikärajamme on noin kaksi vuotta, sillä päivähoitoon tulevilla lapsilla olisi hyvä olla melko hyvät suomenkielen valmiudet ennen englanninkielisen hoidon aloittamista.

Toimimme yhteistyössä Kotkan kaupungin varhaiskasvatuksen kanssa, ja päiväkotipaikan hakeminen tapahtuu heidän sivujensa kautta. Voit hakea meille myös, vaikka asuisit toisessa kunnassa, jolloin varhaiskasvatuspaikan hakeminen tapahtuu sen kunnan varhaiskasvatuspalveluiden kautta, minkä alueella asutte.

Mikäli laitamme teidät jonoon, se tarkoittaa, että kyselijöitä on paljon, emmekä voi taata paikkaa. Jos paikkoja vapautuu, olemme yhteydessä paikan hakeneisiin sen mukaan, missä järjestyksessä paikkaa on haettu.

 

Huomaattehan, että jonot vaihtelevat ryhmittäin. Monet kysyvät keskimääräistä jonotusaikaa, mutta emme voi valitettavasti antaa tarkkaa jonotusaikaa, sillä se vaihtelee tilanteen mukaan. Pyrimme kuitenkin antamaan jonkinlaisen arvion. Toiset voivat joutua odottamaan paikkaa vuoden alle 3-vuotiaiden ryhmään, kun taas 5-vuotias saakin paikan heti. Jonotuksessa huomioidaan myös tarvittavat tuntimäärät, eli ryhmään saattaa mahtua lapsi, joka tarvitsee hoitoa kahdesti viikossa, mutta ryhmään ei mahdu lapsi, joka tarvitsee hoitoa päivittäin kello 8-16. Lapsiryhmien kokoa säätelee Varhaiskasvatuslaki. Pyrimme jonotuksessa tasapuolisuuteen ja reiluuteen.

Please feel free to contact us via email (kotkansay@kymp.net) or phone (+358469212360) when you're planning to start your child's daycare. The earlier, the better, as there are many applicants, and you'll secure your spot more effectively by contacting us directly.

Please provide us with your child's name, date of birth, the desired number of hours (an estimate is sufficient), and the parent's contact information. When we start forming groups, we will get in touch with you. We form the groups for the entire year at once.

 

Our age limit is around 2 years because we hope that the children have a moderate Finnish profiency skills.

We work in collaboration with the Early Childhood Education Services of the City of Kotka, and applying for a daycare spot is done through their website. You can also apply to us even if you live in another municipality, in which case you would apply through the early childhood education services of your residential municipality.

If we put you on the waitlist, it means there are many inquiries, and we cannot guarantee a spot. If spots become available, we will contact those who have applied based on the order in which they applied.

Please note that the queues vary by group. Many inquire about the average queue time, but unfortunately, we cannot provide an exact queue time as it varies depending on the situation. However, we aim to provide some estimation. Some may have to wait for a spot in the under 3-year-old group, while a 5-year-old may get a spot immediately. The queue also considers the required hours, meaning a child needing care twice a week may get in, but a child needing care daily from 8 am to 4 pm may not. The size of child groups is regulated by the Early Childhood Education Act. We strive for fairness and equity in the queue process.
